The Rocks and the Posts
This is a long exposure photograph made on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne on the U.K.'s Northumberland Coast. Lindisfarne was the birthplace of Christianity in England. These old posts are remnants of the islands trade in soda lime. Now the island is a calm and serene place and I think that this photograph capture the essence of that. This version retains the muted colours of the day on which it was taken, which was overcast. There is a mono version available also. You can see Bamburgh Castle through the mist in the distance.
